    Gorillaz

Gorillaz kinda sounds like the animal, but no, it's the name of a music band. however, what make this band unique is that the so called "band members" are animation characters.
Anyway, the first I saw of them (there are 4 characters in the band) was on MTV Japan (or one of the music stations that our cable TV had) and I just thought "Huh? what the?" and nothing more. It's only when I came to uni that I saw the music video again, and really got into it this time.
I found the DVD of there music videos in one of the shops here in Australia (good ol' aussie DVDs!) just to find out that the group didn't make new songs anymore... HOWEVER! Gorillaz came back! Now I'm collecting there CD albums and singles, like I do with Sing Like Talking! (see old entry of 佐藤竹善 <Chikuzen Satou>)

At the moment, there is a new music video "Dirty Harry" out for sale. I kinda want to see them do "Fire Coming out og the Monkey's Head" as a music video!

    Everyday Stuff

I got myself a new DVD yeasterday, again . This one is called Undead, and I might talk about it an other day. Also yesterday, I went to get a nice massage that my housemate got a voucher for me (which was VERY nice) and had lunch and evening coffee outside.
So, I did quite a lot yesterday, so I just lazed around today. Oh but I made fresh pesto sauce for dinner today, which turned out to be very nice! However, I don't think I used the right kind of blender to make the paste... Oh well.

    佐藤竹善<Chikuzen Satou>

Who is this Chikuzen Satou guy? He's my favorite singer!
He's actually the vocalist for a band called Sing Like Talking, but I first found out about him when each of the members were going solo, for a while at least. I still remember where I first heard his voice... On an airplane *snicker*
Better yet, I heard his song, liked it SO much, was going to get his CD, AND TOTALY FORGOT WHAT HIS NAME WAS! It was not untill a month later that I found out his name, and was able to buy the CD.

What I first liked about him was his voice. Although I have a soft spot for operatic singers (as some of you know from a previouse blog entery) his voice is nothing like that. It's a little more high, but his vocal range is HUGE. After a while, I got more of his stuff, and found out that his English pronaunciation is REALLY GOOD too! I got more and more into him, and finding out that he is the vocalist for the group Sing Like Talking, I started to get all their CD too.
So now, I have a whole section of CDs and DVD just of them in my room

I'm writing this, because Chikuzen just came out with a new CD, and I'm dying to get my hands on it!!

    Everday Stuff

We had a friend's farewell party today, nice food and all. (I seem to be able to stomach mussles now too!)(I had an allergic reaction to shell fish, when I was small, and had a bit of phobia) Other then that, I got into a little bit of the animating mood, and is trying to animate my character in Exalted.

    Christmas Song

One The Ten Tenors CD that I got the other day, was a full Christmas song CD. I though, cool! However, being Down-Under, most of the song sound very strange. I mean, it's summer over here. Jingle Bells? Winter Wonderland? Really, it doesn’t really fit.
However, The Ten Tenors originated from Australia, and they made a couple of original song for this CD. One of them, which is my FAVORITE, is titled "Christmas in Cairns" The chorus goes like this.

Christmas day and the sun is shining
Blue sky, here on greens land (I’m not sure with this line)
Breeze blowing and we're all happy
Got a bottle of sunscreen in my hand
Go swimming or play some cricket
Lie around working on our tans
Christmas has a whole new feeling
    Christmas in Cairns

And some of my favorite lines are as the following
    - Summer's here again, it seems so weird there is thick snow on the tree
    - I left him Orange Juice, ‘cuz where I come from milk just never keeps

The first Christmas song that is actually about Australia!
Really, they need more of these things.

    Everday Stuff

I finished writing up the history for my Character for Exalted today. I really was working on it, and it kind of felt like I was doing another take home exam or something. Oh well, that's all over with.

Oh, and I cleaned the oven. I can't believe how much greese there was on it!

Yeah, We can actually see what we are cooking now

    The Operatic Boys

Yes, I just got 2 new CDs today, one is Il Divo's (As my housemate calls them, "The operatic Boys Band") new album Ancora, and the other one is The Ten Tenor's Tenology: The Best of So Far. In my huge repertory of music that I like, there is a special spot for operatic boys  Say all you like, but I like them!
It all started with the Josh Groban CD that my Grandmother gave me. I instanly fell in love with his voice, and was suprised to find out that he is only 1 year older than me! It's fun though, when I let my friends listen to Josh Groban, and then ask "How old do you think he is?" Most people say 30, 40, and even 50. IT'S TRUE!
It's funny, that there are all these groups (I don't really want to call them boy bands) of young or youngish guys getting together and singing Italian, French, whatever! I'm not sure who the target audience they were getting at, but definantly it's middle-age woman now.
...Wait a second, what does that make me?

    Everyday Stuff

Well, today I finished off my essay today. Well, I already had it finished on the 4th (last Friday) because I thought it was due that day. But then, I found out that it's due on the 9th, so I just went "BAH, I'm going to actually REVISE it!" When I handed out today, it felt wierd because it was done WAY before the time. Okay, so that SHOULD be the normal way a student should work, but it's not ME.
Well, I handed that in, and came home to do work out the bills. THAT TOOK 2 HOURS! but it was worth it though, because originaly I would have had to pay $300+ more then I had to!

Picture is of the wicked chocolate I've made yesterday.
